“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Christ, God has given us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly world.” (Ephesians 1: 3 (NCV)
We face seemingly overwhelming problems. Society is tearing apart. Crime rising, divorce becoming the norm, political corruption rampant and that on top of all the problems each of us face in our own lives.
People feel helpless. So increasing numbers are seeking spiritual answers. Yet what they find is a dizzying array of alternatives. From mindful meditation, to repeating mantras, to thinking good thoughts to release positive vibes, and so many more. They aren’t bad practices they just have no spiritual power.
So they’re left searching for yet another answer.
Yet, we have available to each of us unlimited spiritual power.
Power greater than any problem we face.
Power of the one who created all things.
Power from the one who guides us with his hand.
Power from the one who speaks and it is.
Power from the one who calls us his child.
Power from the one who says, “I love you and there is nothing I cannot and will not do for you.
Does this mean our challenges will disappear? Of course not.
But it does mean we have our all powerful father with us in the midst.
And God unleashes this unlimited power in our lives not because we live perfectly. I don’t see any of us who fall into that category.
Not even because we have perfect faith. Jesus did some of his greatest miracles for those who simply said, “Lord I want to believe. Help my unbelief.”
Rather because we simply ask to be his child.
Our problems may be beyond our power but not God’s.
When have you experienced God’s unlimited power in a challenge you faced?
