The Source of Real Life

“The Spirit of God gives real life that mere human power cannot.” (John 6: 63)

Father,

You are life and you give me life,

In a way that I can never give myself.

Thank you for the life you have given me,

And the assurance that it will never end.

Amen

The Bread of Heaven

“I am the living bread that came from heaven.  Whoever, partakes of this bread will live forever.” (John 6: 51)

Lord,

You are the bread of heaven,

Life giving and life itself.

Thank you for giving me your life now,

And that it will never end.

Amen

Life Now and Forever

“I tell you truthfully, anyone who believes in me has eternal life now.  For I am the bread of life.” (John 6: 47-48)

Father,

You are the giver of life,

Life in abundance now and forever.

Thank you for giving me that life,

And the confidence that it will never end.

Amen

Life Without End

“This is God’s will, that I will lose none of those he has given me.  And on the last day, I will raise each one to new life forever.” (John 6: 39)

Lord,

Thank you that you will never lose me,

Nor will you ever let me go.

And for assurance that the end is really the beginning,

Of real life that goes on forever.

Amen

Assurance of Forever

“Everyone the Father gives me will come to me.  And whoever comes to me I will never turn away.” (John 6: 37)

Father,

Thank you for calling me,

And for accepting me.

And for the assurance you will never reject me,

Or let me go.

Amen
